Tangxi Sword is the first of the nine famous swords in China. The ancient traditional sword-making technique, produced in Tangxi (now Zhumadian City), was born in the early Spring and Autumn Period and has a history of 2,700 years. In the winter of the twelfth year of Tang Yuanhe (817 AD), the smelting and casting skills of Tangxi Sword were lost. In 1986, a thousand-year-old smelting sword-making skill reappeared in the world, and Tangxi Sword finally resumed production in 1987.
